15 Most Exciting Upcoming Comic Book Movie Performances

2. Tom Holland's Spider-Man (Captain America: Civil War)

The saga of cinematic Spider-Man is a familiar one. You meet someone. That someone realizes you're broke. They bail on you for a person with money to burn. After coming to the conclusion that their sugar daddy/mumma cannot satisfy them like you once did, they come running back. You swallow your pride and welcome them with open arms, as if nothing ever happened. Your friends and family stand on the sidelines and shake their heads in disappointment. But you know what? You shouldn€™t care. Cause when you hold little Tom Holland in your arms and whisper €˜Welcome home, Spider-Man€™, you€™ll know that everything is right in the world. Even though he€™s only bound to show up for a split-second in a Civil War cameo, we€™re finally going to get a Spider-Man that looks like he actually belongs in high school. Which is much better than a Spider-man who looks like he hangs around outside high schools and hits on the younger girls because women his age know he€™s a creep who looks super weird when he cries. Holland as Spider-Man is an inspired choice. He's appropriately young but already has experience with blockbusters; he was in The Impossible and recently co-starred in In Heart of the Sea. Surprisingly, it may be his theater experience in Billy Elliott that may be his most valuable asset. Out of all the performances on this list, this is the one that has the largest ramifications for their cinematic universe.
