15 Most Foul-Mouthed Movies Ever
2. The Wolf Of Wall Street
Number of F-bombs: 569 (3.16 fpm)
Scorsese, old chap, you have surpassed yourself. As Goodfellas, Casino and many more of his not quite so foul-mouthed but still pretty profane movies have taught us, Scorsese has never been one to shy away from excessive use of the F-bomb over his fifty-year career but The Wolf of Wall Street beat all of his past records.
Based on the memoir of the same name, the movie tells the tale of real-life white-collar crim Jordan Belfort (played by Leonardo DiCaprio) and his rise and fall from small-time stock broker to millionaire playboy to imprisoned FBI rat and all the money, drugs, sex and cussing that comes with such a lifestyle.
The Wolf of Wall Street upped previous most sweary film Summer of Sam’s swear count with an impressive 134 extra F-bombs. Scorsese’s latest film, religious epic Silence, will disappoint fans of the director’s usual foul-mouthedness, however, as it’s completely devoid of any obscenity stronger than a bit of blasphemy.
Choice F*ck Quote: “Good luck on that subway ride home to your miserable, ugly f*cking wives. I'm gonna have Heidi lick some caviar off my balls in the meantime.” (The rich/poor divide as articulated by Jordan Belfort via Leonardo DiCaprio)
