Widely regarded by many a film buff as one of Martin Scorsese’s best movies, Goodfellas tells the tale of real-life New York City mobster turned FBI informant Harry Hill played by Ray Liotta.

Based on the book Wiseguy by crime reporter and screenwriter Nicholas Pileggi, the movie chronicles Hill’s rise through the ranks of the New York city mob from his time as a young whippersnapper and mafia skivvy in training in pre-gentrified 1950s Brooklyn through to the pinnacle of his career pulling off some of the 20th century’s most notorious heists and his eventual downfall as a rat and lifetime witness protection programme member.

It’s actually not Ray Liotta but his co-star Joe Pesci as Hill’s hot-headed associate Tommy DeVito who utters the most f*cks in Goodfellas – around half of its total, in fact.

Choice F*ck Quote: “You f*ckin’ varmint! Dance. Dance! Yahoo, ya mother*cker!” (Tommy DeVito as he’s shooting someone in the foot).
