5. The Heist - Ant-Man

Despite the clamour that greeted the shot in the trailer showing Ant-Man riding an ant (a silly but entirely appropriate image confirming that Marvel aren't trying to sanitise the cartoonishness of the character), to suggest that that is the most important part of the film would be to do a disservice to the overall picture. And not to mention, it would fundamentally undermine the fact that Ant-Man is Marvel's first legitimate heist movie, following on from the success of their disarmingly brilliant take on political intrigue in The Winter Soldier. In the same way that that sequel drew on the fundaments of what made 1970s political espionage thrillers so great, Ant-Man will hopefully borrow as many references from classic heist films as it does from the MCU and the comics. That will be important, especially in light of the fact that Ant-Man is the least anticipated of all MCU movies: it won't be enough to make a brilliant Ant-Man movie, because that only has so many legs, it has to be a genuinely great film around the comic elements (as The Winter Soldier was), and hopefully the set-piece central to the narrative will confirm that.
