3. Prim Dies - The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II

Perhaps it's a little harsh to say that a character's death is one of the most hotly anticipated movie moments of the year, but the fact is that Prim's death in the second Mockingjay instalment will signal the return of Katniss as the bad-ass she was in the first two films before political machinations and too heavy plotting clipped her wings. And sadly for fans hoping for an unlikely repreival, here's very little chance the adaptation will throw a spanner into the works and swerve the death of the younger Everdeen: it means too much to the revolution against the capitol and to Katniss' development as a character, and while it's likely to be pretty damn devastating if it's done correctly, it nevertheless remains hugely important. Obviously that doesn't mean it would get away with being too sentimental about it.
