7. Steve Rogers Macking On Sharon Carter
One of the best running jokes in Captain America: The Winter Soldier – a film not exactly wanting for great running jokes – is Black Widow's constant attempts to set Steve Rogers up with one of his fellow SHIELD employees, usually in totally unsuitable situations like when they're taking down an acrobatic French terrorist or on the run from HYDRA.
The one that Cap doesn't immediately brush off is his cute neighbour, a blonde woman played by Emily Van Camp from TV's Revenge. Would you believe it, that cutie he made laundry-based small talk with is a SHIELD agent too, ordered to keep an eye on Rogers whilst staying undercover! It's pretty obvious Cap's gonna hook up with her in future.
Except, as it stands, he doesn't know her real name. She's Sharon Carter, the granddaughter of Peggy Carter, his World War II-era girlfriend who's now really old and almost dead. He's technically old enough to be Sharon's grandfather, and she's the granddaughter of his old girlfriend.
Woody Allen can only dream of that level of sleazy.
