Tank Girl is one of the most insane comic book films ever made, which is fitting because the source material is one of the most insane comics ever made. Jamie Hewlett and Alan Martin's rebellious, ramshackle post-apocalyptic comic strip was mostly faithfully adapted for the movie, even if fans and creators alike were disappointed by the finished product.
Lori Petty stars in the film as the titular Tank Girl, an “eccentric” mercenary who travels across a Mad Max-esque desert dystopia where water is the most lucrative currency.
