15 Most Insultingly Bad Sequels To Great Movies

6. American Psycho 2 (2002)

Though 2000's American Psycho drew polarised responses upon release, it has endured as a cult classic thanks to its ferociously satirical tone, daring dark humour and a fantastic performance from Christian Bale.

A sequel was rushed out two years later, a standalone horror flick that was only re-purposed as American Psycho 2 during production. Naturally, nobody associated with the original returns, while Mila Kunis stars as the titular psycho alongside William Shatner, and Morgan J. Freeman - no, not that Morgan Freeman - directs.

Despite the marketing playing-up Kunis as a sexy seductress, her performance is flat, lifeless and not particularly appealing - though who can blame her? - while the script ditches any of the nuance or intellect of the original (while literally butchering Bale's Patrick Bateman character in the process).

Only worth watching out of morbid curiosity, but even then, do you really not have anything better to do for 85 minutes of your life?
