15 Most Insultingly Bad Sequels To Great Movies

9. Men In Black II (2002)

Well, at least this half-assed sequel to the classic 1997 sci-fi comedy Men in Black doesn't outstay its welcome at just 88 minutes in length.

Though Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones still make for a vaguely charming pair, almost all the wit and ingenuity of the previous movie is gone in this exceptionally lazy sequel.

Borrowing far too much from the first movie while taking too long to bring Jones' Agent K back into the fold, MIB II also suffers from a dull villain (Lara Flynn Boyle) and thoroughly wastes Rosario Dawson in a supporting role.

Even the action sequences feel monotonous and dispassionate. Thankfully, 2012's belated Men in Black III was a surprising return to form.
