15 Most Offensive Movie Characters

1. Jar Jar Binks (Phil LaMarr) - Star Wars Prequel Trilogy

The Character: A clumsy, loud-mouthed Gungan who is regrettably rescued by Qui-Gon Jinn (Liam Neeson) to haunt Star Wars fans until the end of eternity. Why He's Offensive: This one is offensive for a number of reasons: firstly, many believe that Jar Jar is essentially a disgusting stereotype of a black person: loud, stupid and sporting a Jamaican-ish accent. Then there's the fact that he has clearly been written into the movie to appeal to children and sell merchandise with his silly antics and ridiculous voice, and simply that he has no meaningful place in the much-loved Star Wars universe. Outside of kids, you'll struggle to find a Star Wars fan who doesn't loathe Jar Jar. Does He Ruin The Movies?: He contributes significantly to why people don't like The Phantom Menace, though he's far from the only reason. That he then begins to get taken seriously as a character in Attack of the Clones is only further infuriating (though again, the film has tons of other problems), and thankfully his presence is incredibly muted by Revenge of the Sith, which just so happens to be easily the best of the prequel trilogy movies.
