6. The Bat-Suits - The LEGO Batman Movie

After the success of The LEGO Movie, we probably shouldn't have all been as surprised by how good The LEGO Batman Movie was back in February, but it definitely came as a shock how well-observed the film's obvious passion for Batman lore (both on page and screen) was. It was essentially both a lampooning comedy and an affectionate homage made by fans.

And as part of that, the scene in Batman's Batcave was full of Easter Eggs referencing previous iterations in the shape of Bat-vehicles and costumes. If you pause that scene, you can see a huge number of fairly silly Batsuits including the Electric Bat, The Batriot, Bat By Gaslight, Scu-Bat, St Batricks, Bat-Hurts 1000, Silent But Deadly, Night Terror, Krampus Bat, Glam Bat, Merbat, Winged Avengers, The Bat Pack, Fairy Batman, El Murcielago, Vacation Batman, Catman, Com-Bat and Arctic Bat.

And alongside the joke suits you can see Michael Keaton's suit, Batman Beyond's Batsuit and the Nightwing suit Robin later wears in the film's finale.
