A mad man is running round New York stabbing young women in the crotch with knives and then phoning up the police and taunting them with a Donald Duck voice. The killings escalate and the police become ever more desperate to catch this lunatic. Lucio Fulci's epic sleazefest, besides all of the crotch stabbings, features a female pervert who masturbates openly at live sex shows, has toe sex with teenage boys and generally acts in a perverse manner just for the heck of it. The main detective has a teenage prostitute girlfriend whom the killer slashes up with a razor blade in an obscene sequence. Fulci cannot keep his grubby mitts to himself for the movie. This makes it a particularly tawdry effort which is highly misogynist and offensive to both men and women.
