13. Agent Coulson Gets Resurrected (Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.)
The Controversy: After being seemingly killed by Loki in The Avengers, Agent Coulson is miraculously resurrected in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. by way of alien technology. Naturally those most moved by his demise in the movie felt like this was a mistake and majorly compromised the film's emotional core, essentially making it ring hollow.
Why It's Ridiculous: It's easy to understand people being disappointed at Coulson's death being retconned, but the outrage online quickly rose to totally unreasonable levels.
Sure, it is a bit of a cop-out, but there's a really simple solution: just don't watch the show. It's not like it's that great anyway, so just ignore it and then inside your own "head-canon", Coulson's still dead, because he's smartly been kept out of the movies and likely will for the entirety of the MCU.
