15 Most Ridiculous Movies In Development
7. Get Out
Release Date: February 24, 2017
The Pitch: A young black man (Daniel Kaluuya) visits his white girlfriend's family estate, where it turns out that many of the black residents have recently disappeared. He soon uncovers a disturbing truth.
Why It's Ridiculous: In these tumultuous times, a satirical horror movie where black people are targeted by whites perhaps doesn't seem so absurd, but with Jordan Peele (Keanu) writing and directing, you can expect him to take that racial commentary to some insane heights.
Will It Be Any Good?: Peele's a reliably funny talent, so it's easy to be optimistic, plus the supporting cast features Catherine Keener, and honestly, how many times do you see Catherine Keener in a bad movie? This has cult classic potential written all over it.
