Havok’s death was only the second most shocking part about his appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse. No, the most shocking thing is how he managed to look exactly the same as he did in First Class, despite a supposed twenty-year gap passing between films.
That aside it felt like he could play a mentor role to Cyclops and the new X-Men here, having been around the block a few times himself. Alas, that wasn’t to be, since he accidentally sets off an explosion in the X-Mansion, and is the only one not saved by Quicksilver.
While Havok was never a huge character in the prequel series the suddenness of his exit caught some fans off guard, but at least it gave his bro the wake-up call he needed.
Seriously, though, is it some kind of advanced anti-aging cream he’s using?
