15 Most Weird And Twisted Movies This Decade (So Far)

7. Moebius

Speaking of strange and dysfunctional families in movies and it's impossible not to think of the South Korean horror movie Moebius - here, the family couldn't be more messed up, even if they do hardly ever speak to one another. A film about an incestuous family who trade perversions with the casualness of kids in a playground swapping trading cards sounds like a prime example of crude exploitation cinema at its worst, but Moebius circumnavigates such potential pitfalls and delivers something more along the lines of Takeshi Miike's Visitor Q. Okay, so that means this is still a twisted, messed up movie - and it is - but writer-director Kim Ki-duk has crafted a film which is both daring and, once the credits have rolled, bleak and haunting. Hardly a first date movie but certainly one for fans of extreme cinema.
