9. That AWFUL "Africa" Cover - Aquaman

Aquaman is a movie full of cringe-worthy moments, though at least many of them are shot through with a wink at the audience. One that certainly isn't, though, occurs when Arthur (Jason Momoa) and Mera (Amber Heard) arrive in the Sahara desert in search of the famed Trident of Atlan.

James Wan makes a lot of peculiar musical choices in this film - such as having Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) jarringly assemble his suit to a Depeche Mode song - but nothing tops the toe-curlingly bad decision to have a Pitball cover of Toto's cheese classic "Africa" herald their arrival to the Sahara.

The ear-splittingly awful rendition isn't just terrible on its own merits, it sticks out like a sore thumb in a film like this.
