The Original: Richard Donner's iconic 80s adventure flick that practically defines its era as it delivers a wildly entertaining film for both kids and adults alike. Pretty much the quintessential example of a beloved cult classic, the film lives on in the hearts of anyone who grew up in the 80s, and as you can see, a good portion of the film's young cast went on to successful film careers in its wake. The Sequel: Donner has been trying to get the sequel made for years, though Warner Bros. don't seem especially fussed about funding it, and the various scripts Donner has been handed simply haven't satisfied him yet. How Likely Is It?: If it ever gets made it'll be a miracle, let alone next year. Consider that many of the cast members now have busy schedules (especially Josh Brolin) and the fact that Richard Donner is now 85 years old: every year that passes probably makes it less likely it'll happen, but 2016 is pretty much a no-no, as much as everyone would love to see it. 1/10
