The Original: Don Coscarelli's 2002 horror comedy milked Bruce Campbell's screen presence and nostalgic appeal for all it's worth, playing a very much alive Elvis as he resides in a nursing home along with JFK (who is also still alive and, get this, dyed black), while they fend off an Ancient Egyptian mummy. It sure wasn't a box office smash, but it was well-reviewed and has endured as a cult hit ever since. The Sequel: The film's end credits teased a sequel, Bubba Nosferatu: Curse of the She-Vampires, but Coscarelli originally intended it as a joke until fans started to take it seriously. Campbell exited the project in 2007 over creative differences, but Ron Perlman has since been tipped to take over the Elvis role, while Paul Giamatti is being brought in to play Elvis' iconic manager Colonel Tom Parker. How Likely Is It?: The main problem is securing funding for a sequel considering how much time has passed and how little money the original made. It could come together eventually, but probably not in 2016. 2/10
