15 Movie Sequels You Had No Idea Were Happening

1. Machete Kills€In Space

The Original: 2010's Machete took the original Grindhouse short and expanded it into a fully-fledged feature, pulling in unexpectedly positive reviews and grossing more than four-fold its budget. 2013's Machete Kills sadly couldn't replicate the same success, being torn to shreds by critics and failing to even make its budget back, despite an impressively star-studded cast, including Charlie Sheen, Lady Gaga, Mel Gibson, Amber Heard, Antonio Banderas and Cuba Gooding Jr. The Sequel: Included in Machete Kills is a tongue-in-cheek proof-of-concept trailer for a third film, Machete Kills Again... In Space, but after the second film bombed, all hope was abandoned that it would actually happen. In a recent interview, Danny Trejo confirmed that he and director Robert Rodriguez were planning to get to work on the movie this year (with "Again" removed from the title), presumably for released in 2016. Will It Be Any Good?: This could either be gleefully entertaining or a pile of hot garbage. Considering that Machete Kills dealt with a lot of sci-fi elements in its third act, some might view it as overkill, and given that the second movie didn't exactly go over well, is there really much point in this one? Which upcoming movie sequel baffles you the most? Which ones are you actually looking forward to? Shout it out in the comments!
