15 Movie Titles That Blatantly Lied To You

13. The NeverEnding Story

The Never Ending Story
Warner Bros.

What It Suggest

That what you're about to watch is, in fact, a never-ending story.

The Truth

It's not. The first movie isn't the end of the story, admittedly, but there are only three instalments of this franchise, which is considerably fewer than the Fast & Furious franchise and the Land Before Time series, both of which would qualify better as actual NeverEnding Stories.

Obviously, it's a metaphorical title and they could have got away with that after the first two movies with an implication that the story of Fantasia would always go on. But then they made the third one so bad that it killed the franchise and it was painfully obvious that it had ended with a sad grunt and a flop.
