15 Movie Trailers You Won't Believe Were Allowed To Exist

11. Just Liam Neeson Punching Wolves - The Grey

The center-piece of almost every single trailer for Liam Neeson's 2012 survival thriller The Grey was him facing off against a pack of wolves, by taping some broken drink bottles to his hands and running at the animals full-speed.

This created a certain expectation, that the film was basically going to be a trashy B-movie, when in actual fact, it was a surprisingly classy, thoughtful and philosophical film about mortality and accepting death.

If this wasn't bad enough, the film pulls an Amazing Spider-Man 2 and actually cuts off before the Neeson-wolf fight begins, so viewers who "suffered" through the legitimately decent drama hoping for an insane climax got short-changed of that too.

It's a great movie, but the trailers were shamelessly deceptive.
