Remember the hype for Gone Girl, David Fincher's adaptation of Gillian Flynn's best-selling novel? Well, get ready to go through that all over again, with an adaptation of a novel that has received constant comparisons and similar levels of praise ever since its release. Based on Paula Hawkins' book of the same name, which was everywhere last year (most often being read by girls on trains), it follows the story of Rachel Watson (Emily Blunt), an alcoholic who witnesses a murder, and later finds she may be caught up in the crime. The thriller is being directed by Tate Taylor (The Help), and will also feature Rebecca Ferguson and Luke Evans. Kudrow, meanwhile, will be playing a character called Monica! Release Date: 7 October

A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
