Do we really need a new version of one of the all-time great Disney animated films? Maybe not, but on the other hand it's hard not to get excited about Jon Favreau's remake of The Jungle Book (ok, I'm cheating slightly with this last one, since he's directing not acting, but it's too big a film to leave out). A blend of CGI and live-action, what we've seen of the film from the trailers looks pretty fantastic, and there is some amazing voice talent as well, including Scarlett Johansson as Kaa, Christopher Walken as King Louie, Lupita Nyong'o as Rashka, and Idris Elba as Shere Khan. Mowgli, meanwhile, will be played by newcomer Neel Sethi. Disney songwriting legend Richard M. Sherman is going to be writing new songs for the film, while of course the Bare Necessities will be sung by Baloo, aka Bill F'ing Murray. Release Date: 15 April Are there any more movies starring Friends actors coming out in 2016? Shout out any more down in the comments.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
