The Twist: Brilliant scientist David Levinson gets killed off by the alien invasion, and it's up to everyone else to save the day.
Why It Could Ruin The Movie: Because Goldblum is amazing and an essential core of the original movie: it would be a massive bummer to see him get taken out. None of the new cast members really measure up to the statuesque quality of guys like Goldblum and Bill Pullman, so the movie's ability to charm us is really going to rest on the shoulders of the old guard.
How Likely Is It?: Not massively: Pullman is far more likely to go out in a blaze of glory, all while Goldblum helps save the day with Liam Hemsworth as his young sidekick. Considering how Goldblum is basically a beloved Internet meme, killing him off would be a huge mistake if more sequels are coming (which they surely are), and the producers probably know this. 3/10
