The Twist: Star-Lord's (Chris Pratt) father Ego (Kurt Russell) only shows up for a glorified extended cameo and then disappears out of the movie.

Why It Could Ruin The Movie: Russell's presence has been played-up in marketing as one of the film's big "wow" moments, and considering the enormous potential to have Ego hanging out with the Guardians for a while, it'd be a damn shame if he's in and out of the film in five minutes.

More to the point, if his role really is that small, then giving any of it away in a trailer is a huge mistake.

How Likely Is It?: Given the rumours that Ego might in fact be the movie's villain? Not very, but of course, he was never going to be the feature attraction either, so a smaller-than-expected role is definitely possible, especially if he isn't really the baddie. 4/10
