9. Elizabeth Shaw Is Dead - Alien: Covenant

The Twist: After the crew of the Covenant discover Elizabeth Shaw's (Noomi Rapace) abandoned ship on the Engineer homeworld, they later learn that she's long-dead, probably at the hands of David (Michael Fassbender) no less.

Why It Could Ruin The Movie: Everyone who saw Prometheus wants to know what happened to Shaw, and after Noomi Rapace's involvement in Covenant was finally confirmed, it'd be incredibly lame if her appearance was relegated to a flashback or, worse still, a hologram recording or something.

Shaw was a compelling protagonist, so while she'll certainly have a small role here, hopefully it's a pivotal one that nevertheless sees her very much alive..at least for a while.

How Likely Is It?: This could totally go either way. The fact that Rapace was brought on fairly late in production points to Shaw probably being a goner, though, or at least dying quickly after being re-introduced. 6/10
