15 Potential Plot Twists That Could Ruin Upcoming Movies
7. Franz Oberhauser Isn't Blofeld - Spectre
The Twist: After all the media hubbub about the fact that Spectre's presumed villain Franz Oberhauser (Christoph Waltz) absolutely must really be Blofeld, wouldn't it blow everyone's minds if Waltz and MGM's apparent "smoke screen" was actually nothing but the truth? That's right, Oberhauer is simply Oberhauser, nothing more. Why It Could Ruin The Movie: Because nobody should be allowed to cast Christoph Waltz as a Bond villain and then completely blow a golden opportunity for him to play Blofeld. Everything's set in motion for it, and if he's "only" Oberhauser, it'll feel like a massive anti-climax, especially considering how convinced pretty much everyone is that it's definitely happening. Nobody cares about Oberhauser, but any Bond fan worth their salt wants to see Blofeld revived, and there are likely few better actors than Waltz to make it happen. If he is Blofeld, there's a good chance he'll nail the best interpretation of the character to date.
