The Twist: One member of Ethan Hunt's (Tom Cruise) trusted inner circle of allies, in fact, turns out to be a mole, turning on him in the movie's most shocking moment. That's right, either Brandt (Jeremy Renner), Benji (Simon Pegg), or Luther (Ving Rhames) turns out to be a bad guy. They wouldn't dare turn Luther to the dark side, would they? Why It Could Ruin The Movie: Because one of the biggest joys of the Mission: Impossible franchise is in watching Hunt work as part of a cohesive unit, his dedicated back-up team helping him pull off insane, indeed, impossible missions.
