6. Rocky Balboa Dies - Creed
The Twist: Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) spends the new movie Creed training up Apollo Creed's grandson Adonis (Michael B. Jordan) for his big title fight, and with rumours suggesting Rocky might also be battling cancer during the movie, it wouldn't be a huge shock if the gutsy fighter went down for the count this time, given his age and the established health problems Rocky has suffered with over the years. Why It Could Ruin The Movie: Is there anyone who really wants to see Rocky die? Rocky V flirted with fate when the iconic boxer was diagnosed with brain damage and the results were universally despised by fans, so hopefully Stallone isn't going to undermine the poignant farewell that was 2006's Rocky Balboa and send him to the grave this time. The cancer subplot would be "fine" if he survives it, though frankly, it'd be better just left alone as a whole. Let him be a mostly happy retired boxer who trains a new up-and-comer and leave it at that. If Rocky's staring death in the face, it just reeks of Stallone trying to nab a nostalgia-driven Oscar nomination for himself. Plus, for a movie called Creed, it would probably make Rocky's predicament completely overshadow Adonis' title fight.
