The Twist: After spending the movie caring for his infected daughter (Abigail Breslin) as she slowly turns into a zombie, Wade (Arnold Schwarznegger) manages to obtain a vaccine which reverses the process, leading to an unexpected happy ending after all. Why It Could Ruin The Movie: Because this isn't just another dumb Arnold Schwarzenegger action flick: it looks like something more thoughtful, and so to have his daughter be saved at the eleventh hour would be a massive cop-out for a movie that seems to revolve around a father coming to terms with his daughter's death. Plus, a vaccine in a zombie movie is rarely convincing anyway: hasn't the infection already done irreversible damage?
