2. Raleigh Appears In A Post-Credits Scene - Pacific Rim: Uprising

The protagonist of Guillermo del Toro's original Pacific Rim, Raleigh Becket (Charlie Hunnam), was conspicuously absent from the sequel due to actor Charlie Hunnam's scheduling conflicts.

There was hope from fans, however, that he wouldn't be explicitly written-out in the sequel and could instead show up in a post-credits scene, teasing his re-appearance for the trilogy-capping threequel. After all, he could surely make room for a single day of shooting, right?

While Raleigh thankfully isn't senselessly killed off in the film - unlike his pal Mako (Rinko Kikuchi) - there's also no mention of him at all, and Hunnam certainly doesn't appear in a credits tag.

Writer-director Steven S. DeKnight has stated that he hopes to bring Hunnam back for Pacific Rim 3, but given Uprising's mediocre box office, it'll likely never get off the ground.
