5. You Can't Decide If The Neon Demon Is Terrible Or A Masterpiece
Nicolas Winding Refn's new movie The Neon Demon is another divisive, visually mesmerising effort from the controversial director, and for many who've seen it, it's hard to figure out if it's a masterpiece that grows on you, or a pretentious pile of garbage.
There's not a ton of room for a middle-ground here, and opinions tend to swing emphatic in either direction, or maybe you were just so thrown by the peculiar tale about the toxic nature of the modelling industry that you're still unsure about it.
Granted this is a problem with most of Refn's movies, but none have been as ferociously, aggressively peculiar as this.
