15 Reasons Jurassic World Was Absolutely Perfect

4. It Has Well Shot Action

The only other movie Colin Trevorrow had done before Jurassic World was Safety Not Guaranteed, which was a good film, but not an action heavy one by any means. So there was a bit of trepidation regarding how he'd be able to handle those sequences.

He completely pulled all of them off, and this movie has some of the most breathtaking action in an adventure film like this in years. It's all really well shot and with an extraordinary sense of geography. This isn't a Christopher Nolan Batman film where everything's shot in close up and you can barely see what the hell is going on. In each of these sequences, you know where everyone is at all times, and it's all pretty clear and easy to follow.

Plus, all of the action sequences are really distinct and memorable. There's a danger with a movie like this for the big scenes to kind of blend together and just turn into dinosaur attack #1, dinosaur attack #2, dinosaur attack #3, etc. Here, every single action beat feels fresh, and each time you're seeing something totally new that the movie hasn't shown you before. It's just so immensely thrilling, and the film feels like one giant ride that you immediately want to get right back on.
