15 Recent Movies We're Not Surprised Sucked

4. 9/11

911 Charlie Sheen

With this one, just watch the trailer and you'll get why it's ended up on this list. Like, immediately.

This is a low-budget thriller in which five people are trapped in an elevator in the North Tower of the World Trade Centre on 9/11. The premise of the film is that they have to try and escape before the tower collapses.

The trailer instantly offended many people and it's easy to see why. Using the September 11 Attacks as a basis for this sort of thriller is already exploitative and tasteless enough, but the trailers made this movie look so damn bad. It's safe to say no-one wanted to see such an appalling event being depicted through such a terrible film, and most, wisely, avoided 9/11 like the plague.

For those unfortunate enough to see it, however, this was indeed just as ill-acted, poorly-scripted, amateurish-looking and insulting as the trailers made it look. The fact that Charlie Sheen, a well-known 9/11 truther, is the star was just the icing on the cake to what is, let's face it, one of the most offensive films of recent years.
