11. The Woman In The Window

At first glance, this one might look like an odd placement for, even if the film ultimately disappointed, it sure as hell as sounded good. It had an Oscar-nominated director at the helm, a ridiculously good cast and a very intriguing premise.
To be precise, it all sounded fine... as long as you hadn't read about the production history. Those who had, saw a fail coming from a distance.
The Woman in the Window was meant to be theatrically released in 2019 but, after many disastrous test screenings, it was repeatedly delayed for reshoots. This immediately set off some alarm bells, and when it was announced the film was to skip cinemas and land on Netflix instead, that really seemed like the nail in the coffin for this one.
And sure enough, The Woman in the Window was a cinematic disaster; a ropey, cringe-inducing and hopelessly de-synthesized wreck that infuriated, bored and caused unintentional laughs to no end. Director Joe Wright later disowned the film, which really says it all.
