15 Star Trek Actors Who Died In 2019

Character actor Jack Donner amassed over 100 credits across TV and film during a 50+ year career, enjoying roles on numerous hit TV shows such as The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Mission Impossible, Kojak, The Streets of San Francisco, and yes, Star Trek.

In The Original Series, Donner appeared in the season one episode "The Enterprise Incident," playing Romulan Sub-Commander Tal, an officer who doggedly pursues the Enterprise after Captain Kirk steals a Romulan cloaking device.

What's especially notable about Donner's contributions to Trek, however, is that he's one of just three actors - the others being Joseph Ruskin and Clint Howard - to appear on both The Original Series and Enterprise, his roles separated by a stonking 36 years.

Donner's role on Enterprise saw him playing an elderly Vulcan priest in the episodes "Home" and "Kir’Shara" at the age of 76, and he continued to act regularly for the remaining 15 years of his life.

Donner passed away on September 21, the same day as fellow Trek alums Aron Eisenberg and Sid Haig, aged 90.
