1. Michael Lamper (Acamarian Gatherer)

And our list concludes with a performer who may have technically only qualified as a Star Trek extra, but his role as a member of the Star Trek family extends far further than that.

Michael Lamper was a rock guitarist who played the small role of an Acamarian gatherer in The Next Generation's third season episode "The Vengeance Factor."

What makes Lamper's role significant is that he would go on to date and eventually marry Marina Sirtis, who of course played Deanna Troi, several years later. And better still, their co-stars Brent Spiner (Data) and Michael Dorn (Worf) were groomsmen at their 1992 wedding.

Sadly, Sirtis reported on social media that Lamper passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 7, at the young age of 61.
