15 Star Trek Actors Who Died In 2019
12. Jeremy Kemp (Robert Picard)
Jeremy Kemp played one of The Next Generation's most pivotal minor characters - Robert Picard, the brother of Captain Jean-Luc.
An acting vet with over 85 credits to his name at the time of his passing, Kemp appeared in the unforgettable season four episode "Family" as Picard's estranged and resentful brother, and lent crucial context to Jean-Luc's formative years in the process.
Despite appearing in just one episode, his role is well-remembered by fans, and it ultimately ended up being one of his final roles before retiring in 1998.
Kemp died after a period of "considerable ill-health" on July 19, aged 84.
