15 Stupid Star Wars Movie Mistakes You Probably Missed
3. Leia Could Never Have Remembered Her Real Mother - Revenge Of The Sith
Over the course of the original trilogy, the true nature of the Skywalker lineage is revealed. At first believing that his father never fought in the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan tells Luke the truth... from a certain point of view.
Luke discovers his father was a Jedi who was betrayed and murdered by Darth Vader. However, in Empire Strikes Back, Vader reveals that he is his father. Furthermore, in Return Of The Jedi, Yoda reveals that there is another Skywalker, whom Luke deduces to be Leia.
When they have a chance to talk on Endor, Luke asks Leia if she remembers anything about her real mother, whom he himself never knew. Leia confesses that she does not remember much, but that she was a beautiful and kind person. This implies that she spent some time with her before she died.
Unfortunately, what should be a touching moment between two reunited siblings is later contradicted by events in Revenge Of The Sith. In the final prequel film, we see Luke and Leia’s mother Padmé die shortly after giving birth to them. Then they are separated and raised by different people and obviously, therefore, there was no way Leia could have remembered anything about her real mother.
