15 Stupid Star Wars Movie Mistakes You Probably Missed
1. The Entire Throne Room Scene - The Last Jedi
Rian Johnson created a Star Wars film that either completely disrespected the characters and films that came before it, or destroyed fundamental parts of the lore or rules of the Star Wars universe.
But there were some scenes, like the throne room scene, that garnered the film major praise, and was even labelled by some at the time as one of the greatest scenes in all of Star Wars. But on closer inspection, it turns out to be one of the worst made sequences in any Star Wars film.
As far as the choreography of the fights is concerned, the Praetorian Guards can be seen deliberately aiming for Rey and Kylo’s weapons and not for their expanded body parts. One even throws their weapon out of the shot so Kylo can kill him.
The editing is not much better, as in one instance where Rey is fighting a guard with two knives, one of the knives disappears, showing the guard holding nothing at all.
The alarming number of mistakes in this scene led to many people creating videos were they break down the fight frame by frame. We recommend watching Shadiversity’s Fight Scene Autopsy video for a more in depth analysis of the fight.
