8. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2

Why It Looks Terrible: Kevin James continues to milk the fact that he's overweight and people like watching him fall over on his a** in this wildly perfunctory sequel to 2009's commercially successful (if critically reviled) "comedy". Plenty of talented actors (Molly Shannon, Neal McDonough and D.B. Woodside) are clearly just in it for the money, and there's no reason to expect anything more than the same film repeated in a new Las Vegas setting. How It Will Make A Profit: Like his buddy Adam Sandler, James has cornered a portion of the market as far as dumb comedies go. For some reason, a lot of audiences actually enjoy these sorts of movies, and given that Mall Cop 2 only cost $38 million, while the previous movie made a stonking $183.3 million, it'll make a ton of cash even if it grosses less than half of the first film, which is itself pretty damn unlikely.
