15 Things That Almost Ruined The Terminator Franchise

6. John€™s Memory

John asks a simple question to the T-850 in Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines, now his old buddy has returned after being terminated at the end of T2. What, do you come off an assembly line or something? which makes you want to ask: John, did you?

The very existence of the Arnie terminator in T2 proves that there€™s more than one copy of the same model. The one from the first film (evil), and the one in the second (goodie). If that€™s not enough, his mother, Sarah, was given a wealth of info on Skynet from Kyle Reese. She recorded a ton of tapes for John to listen to before he was even born, to share with him the knowledge he€™d need to become a €œgreat military leader.€ He KNEW they came on assembly lines. Yet somehow, this catch-up-the-audience line of expository dialogue was included that made him seem... well, stupid.

It€™s an issue because it undermines John€™s intelligence. He€™s not the leader of the resistance YET, but he will be. If his ability to retain basic information or make educated guesses is in question, then how the hell is he gonna lead the resistance?
