15 Things In Harry Potter That Don't Make Sense

3. Peter Pettigrew On The Marauder's Map

When Fred and George stumbled upon the Marauder's Map, they were able to use it to discover the hidden secret entrances and paths around Hogwarts. The added bonus of the map was that they could see the whereabouts of every student, professor, and visitor in the castle.

Throughout the Prisoner of Azkaban, once the map comes to Harry's possession, several key characters can be seen moving about the parchment. From Dumbledore to Newt Scamander, and Peter Pettigrew. Of course, this was while the marauder himself was still posing as Ron's rat, Scabbers.

For a long time, Ron and his pet are near inseparable, so when Fred and George are using the map, they are bound to have seen Ron's name next to Peter Pettigrew's at some point. Even if they weren't specifically checking up on their brother, which they absolutely would have done at least once, surely they'd have questioned who Peter was, and why he was spending so much time with Ron? Not to mention sharing his bedchambers each and every night.
