15 Things In Harry Potter That Don't Make Sense

14. The Wizarding Education System

Throughout the Harry Potter series, the only real insight into the wizarding education system we get is at Hogwarts. Students attend the world's greatest school of witchcraft and wizardry for seven years from age 11, and that's about all we know.

But what about before Hogwarts? Muggle borns like Hermione naturally go to normal primary schools, blissfully unaware of the world of magic. So, when all the other children go through the process of choosing and progressing to their chosen high schools, what's the story for what happens to the likes of Hermione? What are her school friends to think when she basically disappears off the face of the earth?

On the opposite side of the coin, how are children from wizarding families educated until they reach Hogwarts age? Clearly they don't go to these same schools because most witches and wizards know little to nothing about muggle culture. There is never any mention of wizarding primary schools either, and if there was, surely some of the first years would know each other.
