15 Things In Harry Potter That Don't Make Sense

13. Getting To Hogwarts

It has always been made apparent in Harry Potter that muggles aren't to learn of the existence of the wizarding world. Great lengths are gone to to prevent such things, and Harry has been in trouble on more than one occasion for using magic out of school and in front of muggles.

Why then, when transporting hundreds of children to Hogwarts, a school so secret it is veiled by a cloaking device to prevent muggles from seeing it, is it done from one of the busiest places in London? With so many people running through a solid brick wall in a very busy train station, amid the hustle and bustle of countless commuters, in broad daylight, it would be a miracle if not one single muggle spotted something strange.

Why do they even need to use a train at all? Thousands of Quidditch fans made their way to the World Cup final by way of portkey, surely this would be a much easier, and less risky mode of transport for all the Hogwarts newbies?
