2. Wishing You Lived In Japan Because Every Ghibli Film Opens At No. 1 In The Box Office
Most Ghibli fans probably dream of nothing more than living in the one place where their insane fandom is totally and completely understood, and sometimes outshined; Japan. The Japanese have always known how much of a unique gem the studio is and appreciated it appropriately, with each and every film opening at number one for their box office, usually becoming the highest grossing film of that year or (in the case of Spirited Away) the highest grossing film ever to come through Japan. As well as the Studio itself being based in Tokyo, there is also a Studio Ghibli museum in Mitaka that was designed by Miyazaki himself. The museum features classic model scenery, short films produced by the company that cannot be seen anywhere else, and one-of-a-kind memorabilia. If there is one place in the world where literally everyone could understand your Studio Ghibli obsession, Japan is most likely going to be it.
