3. Recognising The Famous Voices While Watching The English Dubs
Due to its immense reputation, Studio Ghibli has honoured many famous actors with the opportunity to voice their beloved characters. This can become quite an enjoyable game among Ghibli fans as most of the Studios films voice at least one set of famous vocal chords. As aforementioned, Christian Bale has lent his raspy tones to Howls Moving Castle, Liam Neeson to Ponyo and Chloe Grace Moretz to The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. The most star spangled of all the Ghibli movies however, is the film that kick started the production company's success. When Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind was given an English cast in 2005, it held a ridiculously envious entourage, featuring the voices of Patrick Stewart, Uma Thurman, Shia LaBeouf, Mark Hammill and Edward James Olmos. The film was more than worthy of its stellar cast, and the presence of so many famous names only cements and recognises the glory that is the first creation of Hayao Miyazaki.
