11. Tony Stark Versus Terrorists - Iron Man

At the start of Iron Man, Tony Stark is clearly an unscrupulous character, and while he's been indirectly responsible for a lot of deaths - not least the Maximoff twins' parents - he's a very hands-off sort of arms dealer. Sure, he'll demonstrate his new inventions for publicity purposes, but he's a playboy not a soldier and the idea of actually looking into someone's eyes and killing them would probably have terrified him.

It's only when he's almost killed and driven to acts of extreme heroism (not least by his implied PTSD) that he takes it upon himself to go nuclear. Backed into a corner and forced to take extreme measures, he saves his own life and avenges Yinsen's death by killing off lots of his Ten Rings captors (before returning to the Middle East later to clean up more of them).

After that, he's never actually killed a supervillain, as he's relied on someone else to do his dirty work in all three Iron Man movies, but he did eventually kill Ebony Maw in Infinity War.
