15 Unbelievably Hideous Horror Movie Sequels

1. Jaws: The Revenge

After his miserable time making Jaws 2, Roy Scheider declined to return. While it was a shame to see him absent, at least Roy Scheider was spared the humiliation of appearing in this, unlike poor Michael Caine. Jaws: The Revenge is usually cited as one of the worst films ever made and frankly, believe the hype. It really is that bad. Ironically, it's a sequel to Jaws, arguably one of the best movies ever made.

The script is putrid, the directing is awful, the acting is wooden, the narrative is nonsense, the special effects are ghastly and the film doesn't even try to be exciting or suspenseful. This is that rare film that is incompetent on every conceivable level and it doesn't even offer unintentional laughs.

Michael Caine famously said: "I have never seen [The film], but by all accounts it is terrible. However, I have seen the house that it built, and it is terrific." Well, at least something good came out of, let's face it, the worst horror sequel ever made.
